About Copains
Copains is a Parisian bakery that is entirely gluten-free, and its Neal Street shop in Covent Garden was its first in London. It sells gluten-free viennoiserie, bread, pastries and sandwiches. Gluten-free baking is a particular focus here, which matters if you are coeliac or cooking for someone who is – always ask about cross-contamination controls. Regulars tend to come back for gluten-free croissants, gluten-free baguettes, pain au chocolat and babka.
Copains has not published regular opening hours in the sources we use, so it is worth calling ahead or checking social media before a special trip.
If you are coming by train or tube, Covent Garden Underground station is roughly a 3-minute walk. It is not the only option nearby: there are 8 more bakeries within a kilometre, so a bakery crawl is easily done. It is about 0.5 mi from the centre of London.
